Lord'Subaruscott wrote:My personal opinion (although it probably wont carry allot of weight) on the wings is that we should replace the Liner, Escort and Viper wings with 3 wings consisting of people around the same level (0-40, 41-70 and 71+) so that people aren't bound to the class of ship, but can perform with people their level in tasks they can perform more easily than say an un-advanced jotunn against a god fen.
Its a good idea, but it will be more fun for the 71+ group and will be really bad for the first 2 groups that will get killed more often and advance more slowly, cos i know they count on high levels to protect mines with them and even get a chance to destroy bigger ships.
I think it will be better if we just organize the raids with the different groups of lvls

Althrough I don't play the game much I do see were you both are coming from, the bad part is assuming bsg is a balance game ( sorta like ogame)
than you will also need to watch how many vipers liners etc are in each group....
It depends what you want to do both types have weakness and advantages so you could use both systems if you like..
For mining stuff, than yes you might want to use your current system, or OP bashing...but just for another normal day on BSG you know could just let ya hair down and do stuff like MPC missions with guys around the same level and stuff.

Revised Medal List and Requirements!
The number of medals available to members have been reduced and requirements for the remaining medals clearer/changed, in order to make them more relevant and realistic for members to attain them. They are found here: https://lord.forumotion.com/t1607-lord-clan-medals-and-ribbons
I am now accepting nominations for members to recieve medals. If you think a particular member deserves one of these medals, please personal message me with the name of the person, the medal, and why they should be awarded the medal. This is your chance to show your recognition of someones hard work in the clan!

So i tried the game, not bad, except for the manouvering and shooting. How good it'd be to have mouse controlled manouvering. Just like in real games.
Going to finish the training missions and then see about if the game is interesting enough.

yes it is good to fly from Mouse and using advanced Flight control.
best ship to fly in the games are Fighters that is most close to FL and im sure you like the PvP in the game DOOM
it is so much difrent World then fighting Npc's
i will come online tonight and take carrier out if you like to fast lvl up
remember to spend some XP on your Hull Skills or Weapon skills.
and save your Cubits for later use when you get your Ship upodated and you have desided what you like to fly

The best thing to steer your ship is the mouse control in combination with the W A S D buttons. ( advanced flight controls will use Q W E A S D buttons. To steer your ship with tho mouse push the right mouse button and hold to the direction on your screen and your ship will follow this. This will work out the best with the camera modus in chase cam.

With your left mouse button you can target your enemy's while steering your ship at the same time holding the right button.

With habits, i use keyboard to manouvring... but i don't use advanced Flight control... too faster... but with a gamepad or joystick, it's great... just a little time to configure xpadder and training....

Hello,
Using only the keyboard advanced controls are essential with my liner.
With the viper and Halbert is hard for me.
But if you could use a joystick is interesting.
Best regards.
Dan.

Don't worry Corporal, Doom is an old Freelancer pilot and these are similiar controls to Freelancer ships so I'm sure he'll be able to pick it up rather well

Oooh, but i'm not worried at al. I know that Lord'Doom is experienced enough to find out the controls of the game, but everybody can give advise.
Important: learn the hotkeys, you will need them

Small problem.. I went and tried Terraria, and now i cant stop. From my past experience i can tell you this could go on for months. Or years. :D Good thing it's a multiplayer game too, so there could be possibility there, not sure yet.

Ok if you see me fly around in raptor - no you haven't gone mad, maybe i have
I am big 'anti - mining' - but flying escort needs lots of titanium (the way i fly lol) so you need to mine lots. So I have put my halberd into storage for now and advanced my raptor and taking it to mine quickly - mining cannons, sensors and boosters - so i am basically speeding around smashing rocks and can see about 4.5 k all round me on Dradis so nobody gets near me - not having a ship capable of shooting down even mid level npc's turns out to be a bit fun coz I never have to think "can i beat this guy" coz i know the answer is always no!!! so run - run like the wind (scanning as i go).
So right now I am exclusive strike craft flyer!
